Outdoor Programming For Camps & Schools
Structured canoe expeditions and outdoor education programs with the documentation, communication, and risk management your organization requires.
Why Camps & Schools Choose Tripshed
Institutional programs require more than enthusiasm. They require structure, documentation, and consistent communication.
Calm, Experienced Leadership
Our guides bring decades of combined experience leading youth in backcountry environments. They know how to manage groups, adapt to conditions, and communicate clearly with administrators.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you manage risk and emergency situations? +
Every program includes:
- Pre-program risk assessment
- Emergency action planning
- Clear communication protocols
- Weather monitoring and conservative go/no-go decisions
- Structured supervision and accountability
What happens if the weather is bad? +
We monitor forecasts closely and have clear go/no-go criteria. If conditions warrant a change, we communicate early and work with you on alternatives - whether that means adjusting the route, rescheduling, or modifying activities.
Who provides supervision? +
Our certified guides lead all programs. We maintain a maximum 1:6 guide-to-participant ratio on water programs, adjusted based on age and environment. If you want your staff to participate or co-lead, we can structure the program accordingly.
What gear is provided? +
For multi-day trips, we provide all group equipment: canoes, paddles, PFDs, tents, tarps, cooking gear, and food. Participants bring personal clothing and sleeping bags (or we can supply sleeping gear if needed).
What is your cancellation policy? +
We understand plans change. Our cancellation terms are outlined in our program agreement and include provisions for weather-related changes. We work with you to reschedule when possible rather than canceling outright.
What staff-to-student ratios do you operate under? +
Ratios are determined based on age, activity type, and environment. We coordinate with your leadership team to ensure supervision levels align with your institutional standards.
