Outdoor Program Facilitator

Do you love teaching skills like fire-building, shelter-making, or animal tracking? Are you passionate about helping people—especially families and kids—form lasting bonds with nature? We’re building a team of outdoor educators who can help deliver powerful, hands-on learning experiences.


The Role

Tripshed is seeking outdoor facilitators to lead engaging workshops and programs for families, schools, and community groups. These may include day events, recurring programs, or seasonal pop-ups. Whether you're teaching campfire cooking, guiding a knot-tying demo, or playing nature-based games, you’ll be helping others feel capable, curious, and connected outside.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead interactive outdoor programs focused on bushcraft, ecology, and nature connection

  • Facilitate nature-based games, storytelling, and hands-on activities for all ages

  • Co-lead events with other educators or guides

  • Help with gear and event prep/logistics as needed


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: At least 2 years working in outdoor education or camp environments

  • Skills: Confident group leader with solid nature knowledge and people skills

  • Certifications:

    • Standard First Aid & CPR-C (required)

    • Wilderness First Aid (preferred)

  • Assets: Forest School, Coyote Mentoring, or nature-based ed background

  • Other: Clean Criminal Background Check; access to a vehicle is an asset


What You’ll Get

  • Pay: $150–$250 per day depending on experience and program type

Job Types: Contract, Freelance
Expected hours: 6–20 per week depending on season
